Wellbeing

In the evolving landscape of corporate health, a coordinated approach to wellbeing is not just beneficial but essential. Before the world grappled with COVID-19, a study highlighted an encouraging trend: companies were increasingly implementing stress management programs, with a notable rise from 83 to 88 percent. Time management courses also saw a jump, increasing their presence from 80 to 86 percent. On a global scale, stress management programs saw a modest rise from 74 to 78 percent, while time management programs inched up from 76 to 77 percent.

But there's more to workplace wellbeing than just managing stress and time. Progressive organizations recognize their role in supporting not only the physical but also the mental health of their employees, moving beyond traditional safety models. A targeted wellbeing strategy is not just a moral choice; it yields measurable outcomes like heightened team performance, reduced absenteeism, and improved employee retention.

Investing in employee wellbeing transcends the feel-good aspect; it's a strategic financial decision. Evidence indicates that such investments lead to lower costs associated with sick leave, presenteeism, and workers' compensation. Furthermore, comprehensive programs that address mental health, nutrition, sleep, and stress management can significantly enhance employee performance, innovation, and the overall workplace culture.

We at LIFELINE understand there are three pillars critical to workplace wellbeing:

Purposeful Work: Cultivating an environment where individuals engage in meaningful work aligned with their life's purpose.
Leadership: Acknowledging that the wellbeing of employees is heavily influenced by the quality of leadershipa skill that requires both finesse and empathy.
Resilience: Emphasizing personal resilience as a cornerstone for navigating the complexities of the modern workplace.

By integrating these principles into our wellbeing strategies, we're not just addressing the immediate needs but are also fortifying our teams for the challenges ahead. With LIFELINE Therapeutic Services, we are committed to guiding organizations towards a future where employee wellbeing is the norm, not the exception, ensuring a healthier, more productive workforce.

Coaching Skills for Managers

Workplace Coaching for Performance and Wellbeing

Summary Description

Becoming a workplace coach is specifically designed for those who want to become successful coaches in the workplace. This seven- session program covers all the essential skills and competencies needed to excel as a coach. Each session will comprise 60 minutes of slides and 30 minutes of Q&A, ensuring that trainees have a deep understanding of the subject matter.

Coaching
Coaching is a process that aims to improve performance and focuses on the here and now rather than on the distant past or future. The focus is on the individual and their ideas and opportunities, to define their goals, set their path, and achieve their success. Coaching is about listening, reflecting, asking questions and unlocking YOUR potential.

Mentoring
Mentoring is about supporting and encouraging people to manage their own learning so that they can maximize their potential, develop their skills, improve their performance, and become the person they aspire to be. Mentoring is development-driven, focusing not only on the professional's current job function but also on a more holistic approach to career development. Unlike coaching, which is evaluative and based on measuring performance change, mentoring is non-evaluative. Due to its personal nature, a mentor often draws on their own experiences and expertise to assist their mentee. This could involve sharing a story that imparted a valuable lesson or discussing a challenge they overcame in their career.

About The Course

The course (14 hours) will cover the International Coach Federation (ICF) competencies, which are essential for professional coaching. Trainees will learn how to apply these competencies to their coaching practice, using a variety of coaching models, tools, templates and techniques.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, trainees will have the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to become a successful coach in the workplace,

Course Tutor

Our instructor is an experienced professional with a wealth of knowledge in coaching, and will share their expertise to equip trainees with the skills they need to succeed in coaching.

As well as being a Consultant / Project Manager used to delivering complex change, he is a 4 x GB Gold Medallist used to coaching high-performance teams. He is a former tutor/mentor for the Chartered Management Institute and a UK BeTheBusiness Coach and qualified Mediation Practitioner.

MBA Management Consultant
AMPG Change Practitioner
ICF Trained Coach & NLP Practitioner
Certificate in Applied Therapeutic Skills
Mediation Practitioner
BeTheBusiness Mentor
First Aid for Mental Health
Certificate in Applied Therapeutic Skills

As noted earlier.

Our approach to the therapeutic coaching model requires careful consideration, particularly in deciding the format whether it will be one-to-one or group sessions. Equally important is the composition of our delivery team, ensuring it aligns with the diverse needs of the individuals and the organization. The inclusion of both male and female facilitators, as well as professionals with varied backgrounds, ranging from medical and clinical to life and business coaching, is crucial. This diversity is key to providing a well-rounded and effective service. Therefore, the selection and deployment of our facilitation team within the organization must be approached with thoughtful consideration to ensure the success and impact of our therapeutic coaching initiative.

HOW LIFELINE CAN HELP

Mentoring

Mentoring is to support andencourage people to manage theirown learning in order that they maymaximise their potential, developtheir skills, improve theirperformance and become theperson they want to be.' Mentoringis development driven, looking notjust at the professional's currentjob function but beyond, taking amore holistic approach to careerdevelopment. Mentoring is non-evaluative, while coaching is basedon measuring performance change.Due to the personal nature ofmentoring, a mentor will moreoften than not draw on theirpersonal experiences and expertiseto help their mentee. This could bein the form of sharing a story thattaught them a valuable lesson, or achallenge they overcame in theircareer.

There are particular words andphrases in this quote that draw ourattention: 'Supporting' and'encouraging' suggest it is non-directive. 'Manage their own learning'suggests that the responsibility forthis lies with the mentee.'Maximise potential, developtheir skills, improve theirperformance' identifies the spirit ofgrowth and development.'The person they want to be'clarifies that this is about anindividual establishing their owngoals with help.

Therapeutic Coaching

Coaching is about propelling you forward - focusing on performance, goals, and maximizing potential. Its about the here and now, charting a course for future achievements. Therapy, on the other hand, delves deeper. Its an exploration of feelings, beliefs, and behaviours. Its a space for reflection, understanding, and sometimes, healing. At Lifeline Therapeutic Coaching, we believe you shouldnt have to choose between the two. We offer what we call "Therapeutic Coaching", a seamless integration of coaching and therapy, tailored to the individual needs of each client.

At Lifeline Therapeutic Coaching, our focus is

1. Empowerment: We equip our clients with the tools and confidence to unlock their full potential.
2. Reflection: We value deep introspection as a cornerstone of personal and professional development.
3. Achievement: We are committed to helping our clients reach their goals and celebrate their successes.
4. Holistic Growth: We advocate for a comprehensive approach that considers all aspects of the individual.
5. Flexibility: We adapt our services to meet the evolving needs of our clients at every stage of their journey.
6. Personalized Attention: We believe in the power of tailoring our approach to provide optimal support for each unique path.
